How to embed reviews and testimonials in Framer

This article will explain how you can use Testimonial Donut to add the testimonials and reviews received from clients and customers to your website via Framer.


To add a widget to your Framer site, first, create one in Testimonial Donut. You can follow our guide on crafting brand-cohesive testimonial widgets here.

Summary

  1. Copy the Framer URL provided by Testimonial Donut.
  2. In Framer, paste the URL onto your desired page to import the widget.
  3. Select the imported Testimonial Donut component in the Layers panel.
  4. Paste the widget URL from your Testimonial Donut account into the properties panel.
  5. Adjust the width to 100% and set the height to auto for best results.
  6. Publish your changes in Framer, and the testimonial widget will appear on your site.

Step-by-step Instructions

1. Copy the following code:

2. In Framer, navigate to the page where you’d like to place your testimonial widget. Simply paste the above URL onto the canvas (use CMD + V on macOS or CTRL + V on Windows) to import it.


After doing this, the Testimonial Donut component will appear in the Layers panel.

3. Now go to the Widgets page in your Testimonial Donut account, and from the list of all the Widgets, select the one you want to add to Framer by clicking on ‘View/Edit.’

  4. After opening the Widget, the following window will open

  3. From here:

  • select 'Add widget to website,
  • Then click on the widget URL tab to find the 'Widget URL.
  • Finally ' Click 'Copy URL' to add the widget URL to your clipboard.

4. Go back to Framer.

  • Select the TDWdiget component
  • In the properties panel of the TDWidget component, paste the Widget URL you just copied.

  5. For best results:

  • Set the Width of TDWidget component to Relative and 100%
  • And the Height to Fit content and Auto


10. To publish these changes, click on the ‘Publish’ button on the top-left corner of Framer.

The changes will be reflected, and the Testimonial widget will appear on your website. 

Preview & Edit

If you want to edit the widget and make any design changes, go back to Testimonial Donut, open the ‘Widgets’ page, select the Widget that you just added, and customise it as per your preferences.


Once you have customised it and made any changes, simply click on ‘Save Widget’ to save those changes, and the changes should reflect on your website.
