How to add reviews & testimonials to a Carrd website

This article will explain how you can use Testimonial Donut to add the testimonials and reviews received from clients and customers to your website via Carrd.

To add a widget to your Carrd site, first, create one in Testimonial Donut. You can follow our guide on crafting brand-cohesive testimonial widgets here.

1. Visit Testimonial Donut's Widgets page, select widget, and get HTML code using 'Copy embed code.'

2. Open Carrd’s dashboard for your website.

3. Click on the ‘+’ icon button on top-right corner of the dashboard, and select ‘</> EMBED.’

4. Drag the ‘EMBED’ element to place it where you want on your website.

5. Click on ‘EMBED’ and scroll down to the ‘Code’ text box.

6. Paste the copied code from Testimonial Donut into 'Code.'

7. Click on the floppy disk icon (‘Publish’ button) or click on the menu on top right corner of your dashboard, and then click on ‘Publish.’

8. ‘Click on ‘Publish Changes’ and the widget will appear on your website.  

1. Go to the Widgets page on Testimonial Donut, and from the list of all the Widgets, select the one you want to add to Carrd by clicking on ‘View/Edit.’

  3. Here, select 'Add widget to website' to find the HTML 'Widget embed code.' Click 'Copy embed code' to add the widget's HTML code to your clipboard.

  5. From the menu that opens, click on ‘</> Embed.’ 

  6. An element, called ‘EMBED’ will appear on your website design, which you can also drag to move it around and relocate.

Scroll down in the window and navigate to ‘Code.’ Here, you will paste the code you copied from Testimonial Donut.

  8. Copy the code from here (Widgets page on Testimonial Donut)

  9. Paste the code that you copied from the Testimonial Donut in the ‘EMBED’ window on Carrd, as shown below, and click on ‘Done.’

   10.  To publish these changes, click on the floppy disk icon or ‘Publish’ button on the top-left corner of Carrd.

Alternatively, you can also click on the menu and then click on ‘Publish.’

The following window will open, where you can review your URL settings and click on ‘Publish Changes’ to finalize the design.

The changes will be reflected and Testimonial widget will appear on your website.

If you have followed the above steps, your widget would have appeared on your website.

Once you have customized it and made any changes, simply click on ‘Save Widget’ to save those changes, and the changes should reflect on your website.
